St. Croix trip

I took another trip to St. Croix for an extra long weekend. I didn't get as much time as I would have liked to draw but I did use the time in the airports to get a few sketches in.

I haven't been to your blog in ahwile - you've been doing some wonderful things. I love the M&Ms sketch, and the keys and acorn tops... These sketches from your trip are wonderful. Your line work is just beautiful. I must remember to come back more often.

Hi Genine! First time here. Enjoyed your whole blog but I do have a passion for travel sketches. Yours are wonderful!

Let me jump in and say how fresh and dun your sketches are. Love those M&Ms! As for your comment about sketching people, I also feel funny drawing people out in public. I have some luck in two places, the beach where people are sunning or reading, and airports, where they are so busy they don't notice me. I just jump in and let the sketches be fast and dirty. I sketch musicians at concerts too.

Stunning sketches Genine. I love all of them. Sorry can't offer any advice on drawing people because, like you, I find it really intimidating. Just keep on doing what you do - it's great.

I truly love your work. I haven't even been brave enough to go out into the world to sketch anything. If I could get results like these I might go give it a go!
