09.12.09-downtown

I went downtown Saturday to sketch, pulled into a parking lot to draw the old church at St. Josephs Park (check out Chris' sketch http://www.flickr.com/photos/cbtribastone/3814389621/ of it), as i sat in the parking lot getting ready the buildings just past the church caught my eye. The foot bridges are what grabbed me. So i sat , listened to great music and sketched in the sun.

i think i may go back now and add something..not sure what but something, to give it depth.

camera class

i had read a description of a camera class that was comming up at the library and hopped on the waiting list. I was so excited to learn more about F-stops, depth of field and much more....well the first topic was "how to turn on your camera". From there it'd didnt get much better. I believe the title of the class should have been " Getting started with the digital camera you JUST bought and have no idea how to work". It is a great idea to have these classes, i just wish they would have deserving descriptions. Oh, well. sketched a short bit and hadd a good night anyway.

I had a great day. Sketched this whiles sitting outside on a gorgeous Friday night, after running a 5K and having to work only half a day because we had our group picnic.

A few doodles from todays meetingthe lights on the bottom left are going to be used in the new store. The one on the right is really colorful. But I bet they would have seen me sketching if I puled out my paint set. :)

Things have been so busy these are the first sketches i've done in such a long time. Once July is over i should be back on track.

Waiting for the Dr. who took much longer than I had hoped. But I brought my sketch book and used the time for this small sketch. Thank goodness for sketching!!!

I feel like i have been abset for so long. As usual life has gotten in the way from posting and browsing art. But, I think I am back. I am going to attempt the Everyday in May challange. Seeing if i can squeeze one more thing into my busy week :)

Lunch time Sketch
